working on some new paintings for a new exhibition...

i ve been working on this piece for months now... hope to finish it soon.

here is a new painting i made as an assignment for my friend birgit. she asked me if i could do a portrait of her parents who have been married for 40 years. assignments like this one are pretty hard, because it's not that easy to paint a good looking portrait. especially since i only got one black and white wedding picture.
but they were really happy with it and so am i.

Hiba

a new painting i made aspecially for my friends frank & jacqueline who bought a house and needed a big painting to fill one of their walls. i used a photo by facebook friend June Made of a Tunesian girl named Hiba, for inspiration... that is also why i called this painting Hiba.

this is a mural that the new antistrot did in IJmuiden. it is the first mural we did after the break up... our new name is still a point of discussion as we are not sure what name to go for. some names we have already been using are TAFKAA (the artist formerly known as antistrot), Studio Knakworst and Gringo Illuminati. for now TAFKAA exists of bruno, johan, michiel and me... but paul is also a helping hand when he is in town.

this is an illustration i did for a spread in Mare. the illustration was about a short story by Arjen van Veelen.
